Power Hits Karaoke Series (PWH)
The Power Hits Karaoke collection is identical to the Ameri-Sing Hip Tracks Series. With this in mind, you should refer to that info page for a review and further information.
The reason for this karaoke info page is to help people understand things a little better.
For example, collectors may hear about this “label” and search for it. However, this label is just part of the Ameri-Sing brand. Be that as it may, we will keep this Karaoke Info page online to help with cross-referencing purposes.
As you can see on the label, some great songs are on the HTG-1002 disc. For example, Yellow by Coldplay and Hero by the irreplaceable Enrique Iglesias.
Collecting Data For The Series
A while back, we shouted out for karaoke information for this series. We wanted disc prefix numbers together with song lists to accompany them. Indeed, we were getting some good returns, and most of the data was similar.
Compiling the data into what most Karaoke Jockeys (KJs) would use in their songbooks took a while but is complete now. Indeed, we were able to compile the disc prefixes and a uniform songbook so that you can use it for cross-reference purposes or even download it.
Power Hits Karaoke Discs
There are a total of thirteen discs in this series. That is according to the members who also sent in their songbook lists. So, here is a complete list of their AKA Ameri-Sing counterparts:
- PWH1001 AKA AMHTG1001
- PWH1002 AKA AMHTG1002
- PWH1003 AKA AMHTG1003
- PWH1004 AKA AMHTG1004
- PWH1005 AKA AMHTG1005
- PWH1006 AKA AMHTG1006
- PWH1007 AKA AMHTG1007
- PWH1008 AKA AMHTG1008
- PWH1009 AKA AMHTG1009
- PWH1010 AKA AMHTG1010
- PWH1011 AKA AMHTG1011
- PWH1012 AKA AMHTG1012
- PWH1013 AKA AMHTG1013
So, why have we posted the index numbers above when they are duplicates? The answer is that some people still think the PWH series is original and has a separate karaoke label. Because of that, they unwittingly have them shown in their karaoke songbooks like this.
This Karaoke Info page only provides information to help people understand things better. Check out the outer sleeves and CDG labels below. It is not surprising that there is some confusion!
Ameri-Sing Karaoke Review
Since this “label” is an Ameri-Sing variant, we don’t need to review it in depth. However, the Ameri-Sing label had a favourable review, getting a decent score from us, but what do you think?
Desirability Factor
Although this series is identical to the Ameri-Sing Hip Tracks collection, this collection has a unique label. That makes them valuable to a collector, of course. However, the Karaoke Info network must remind you that they are Ameri-Sing.
Because of their pedigree**, they are highly desirable. Be that as it may, you should list and store them as Ameri-Sing if you want consistency in your collection.
If you are saving the Ameri-Sing label, you should avoid this collection.
