Karaoke Kurrents come from the same people who made numerous labels, which we list below. Indeed, many songs from this series are also on Supercore Karaoke.
However, this label has a unique identity that people associate with. Because of that, we review this label like all others in our karaoke directory.
This label is slightly complicated because of its evolving nature. Once you see the stages it went through, it is easily understood.
Even though this label is a sub-label of A-Major Music, it also has sub-labels itself!

To clarify what we do know, the parent company is A-Major Music. Therefore, this series comes from the same family as the following karaoke labels:

The quality reported so far on these discs has been very encouraging. But that is not surprising because their other labels below have left an impression on us.
Our members sent us their disc identity numbers, so we detail them below. They also sent in song lists. From all that data, we can now provide a songbook. Our songbook links are usually at the bottom of our info pages.
Name Change
Firstly, there was Current Hits Karaoke (CHIK). But that name lasted a short while. Like others with a misspelling from A-Major, they wanted a unique identity for these discs. So up popped the name Karaoke Kurrents (a misspelling of current).
They must have had big plans for the CHIK label because they started a “Pop” and “Country” series. However, that quickly died after one release.

Explicit Lyrics
Please note that these karaoke labels made karaoke tracks using explicit lyrics. Therefore, it might be wise to label them correctly. But, otherwise, they are popular with drinkers in pubs and clubs. However, we do not know if the Karaoke Kurrents have any swear words appearing on-screen or if they only imply them.

Karaoke Kurrents Review
Since these karaoke discs have a fine pedigree, we knew the review would be favourable, and we were not wrong.
The splash screen is similar to most discs from the parent company. For the most part, this means it only shows the song title on a pale-coloured screen.
The lyrics sync well, like the rest in this family of karaoke. Indeed, the music quality is excellent as well. What more could you want from a karaoke label?
The artwork on the KK & Best Of Karaoke discs and sleeves is unique to this karaoke label. The discs have a music symbol (quaver) with teeth singing into a microphone. This unique logo makes them instantly recognisable, of course. The Current Hits Karaoke discs differ slightly (see below for a KK Disc label).

Although we may use numerous songs for the review, we only provide one sample video to represent the label. So, the song sample for our video presentation is KK0302-06 – Carrie Underwood – I Told You So.

Desirability Factor
We certainly wouldn’t dissuade you from buying this series because they have a fine pedigree. Because the disc ID numbers run in sequence, should a complete set come your way on the cheap, grab them! For a collection, we do recommend them.
In essence, we will never put off a karaoke disc collector. We leave that up to your discretion, of course. Indeed, Karaoke Info loves all the companies that ever made karaoke. So, we couldn’t show bias even if we wanted to!
