YA-KO Karaoke LaserDiscs Introduction
We list and review four YA-KO Karaoke LaserDiscs here. However, these formats have sides A and B. In effect, you could say it is the equivalent of eight discs.
The labels show “The Greatest Songs Within 50 Years” and “Sing The Super Hits.” They are video discs, so use the phrase “Karavision”.
The format of these discs is double-sided LaserDiscs, so you will need a suitable player to use them.

YA-KO Karaoke LaserDiscs Review
The splash screens are a variable pastel shade with the company logo, song title, and songwriters, but no original artists. The yellow on-screen lyrics change to blue to prompt the singer. Indeed, the wording is clear and legible.
The refresh rate is excellent and always shows the next lyrics. Indeed, there was no lag either.
The video settings are random locations, indoor and outdoor, but rarely have a song connection. However, this type of video karaoke is the norm for the LaserDisc era. Unlike other video discs from this period, we never saw male or female models doing their thing.
The music is excellent, being crisp, clear, and dynamic. So, the discs tick all the boxes.
However, we forgive them for the cover artwork being slightly dated. But you can’t have everything, and our interest is the quality of the karaoke.
