Top Hits Monthly Karaoke Introduction

Top Hits Monthly Karaoke (THM) made numerous CDGs over many series. Many of their series were monthly releases, and the genres include pop, country, rock and even Elvis Presley.

Indeed, THM is the forerunner of Pop Hits Monthly. Once you check out that karaoke label, you will see the similarities.

The problem when collecting both karaoke labels is the sheer number of dupes. In this case, some discs are almost identical.

Top Hits Monthly Karaoke Pop - THMP0706 Front Cover

To clarify this, we list them by category to make things clear. By checking both songbooks, you will be able to identify the dupes. Therefore, you can avoid buying duplicate CDGs while saving space and money.

Since these CDGs are now only available second-hand, ask about their condition before buying them. That is because badly abused CDGs can cause on-screen graphics problems and a jump in the music.

We saw many of these Top Hits Monthly Karaoke discs available to buy online when checking in October 2014. Indeed, some were for sale as new and cheap at $6.99 US. That equates to £4.35 in the UK. In contrast, many of the used discs we saw were more affordable. So don’t pay over the odds, as many are still available. Just bide your time for the bargains!

Our songbooks are available to show the disc version or the digital version.

Top Hits Monthly Karaoke Review

THMP0512 Disc.

As you can see, THM is such a massive karaoke label. So, choosing where to start a review was hard. There are many genres, so we decided to play some oldies.

A karaoke label that not only made this massive collection of discs and another just as big (PHM), well, they have to be good, don’t they? Of course, they had to be good, or they wouldn’t have survived, and yes, they didn’t disappoint. They were a joy to play and sing along to, and we recommend them wholeheartedly.

The splash screen is big and bold, with spotlights lighting up “Top Hits Monthly” and the song title below. The on-screen lyrics were also big and bold and matched the beat impeccably. The choice of background music was excellent.

For example, we chose to sing ‘The Last Farewell’ by Roger Whittaker. We found it to be a far better version than the Sunfly counterpart. Be that as it may, we still prefer the ‘Sing To The World‘ version of that song!

Karaoke Song Sample

Although we may use numerous songs for the review, we only provide one sample video to represent the label. So, the song sample for our video presentation is THR0211-17 – Blindside – Pitiful.

Videos are subject to change!

Our Verdict

  • On-screen Lyrics: 4.5
  • Music Content: 4.5
  • Splash Screen, Graphics, Video: 4.5
  • Cover Art: 4
  • Overall Average: 4.3
  • Music And Lyrics Average: 4.5

We gave this collection 5 out of 5 in the rating system below. You can also vote for these, even if you don’t have the discs or tracks. Indeed, all you need to do is watch our presentation video above and judge that.

Desirability Factor

Owning all these karaoke discs would be fantastic, of course. However, start now because there are loads to collect. We recommend them!

To Sum Up

A company that releases this many discs and lasts so long must have some authority. As far as the staff here at Karaoke Info are concerned, this is a quality set of discs. They would grace any karaoke collection. Indeed, this is our opinion.

So, a small comment from you below would help future karaoke disc collectors. You can also post in the Karaoke Info Forum. If all else fails, we still have the star rating system for you to use.

Before buying these Top Hits Monthly Karaoke discs on the second-hand market, ensure they are in good condition.

Although a good karaoke player should read discs with surface scratches, you are still looking for the best quality possible!

THMRM04 - Front.

By checking the songbook, we see many tracks with guide vocals. Therefore, if the disc has 16 karaoke tracks complete with the vocal version, they have only eight unique songs. While we appreciate that some people like this arrangement, others don’t. So, check out all the lists and ensure you know what you are buying.

Top Hits Monthly Karaoke Songbook (Disc & Digital)

You now have the information and reviews for this excellent Top Hits Monthly Karaoke collection. Therefore, you now need to know what songs are on them. We have songbooks for all the lists of discs above on the next page.

Top Hits Karaoke has song duplications. However, our digital songbooks eliminate those. For example, From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart by Britney Spears has four entries in the disc songbook. However, the digital songbook only has two entries (one with guide vocals).

You can eliminate duplicate songs in your collection and save on printing ink by going the digital route. Furthermore, you can also free up more space on your hard drive.

Of course, you can view the song list for cross-referencing. But we now have a dedicated download link. So you can now take a physical copy for your gigs, etc. In short, click the link below to access the Top Hits Monthly Karaoke songbook.
