Screen Tracks Karaoke By Pocket Songs
Here, we have a series by Screen Tracks Karaoke. These CDGs are from the people who brought us Pocket Songs. In short, the first eight tracks are the guide vocals. The second lot of eight tracks is what we generally say is traditional karaoke without any vocal accompaniment. That is apart from the backing singers, of course.
Screen Tracks Karaoke, in essence, is a speciality series that has many songs from big-show movies. In other words, this is their little niche in the market. Be that as it may, they are still from the PS stable!
We asked members to send us their songbook listings and disc ID numbers (prefixes). Indeed, all the karaoke song lists we got were the same. So, it’s clear that karaoke jockeys (KJs) list these pretty uniformly. We have all the Screen Tracks disc prefixes and tracks from those discs. Our song list comes as a PDF file (link below).
Big Brand Names
You know you are buying a big brand name here because the parent company is Pocket Songs. They made so many karaoke discs, as listed on the parent page.
All in all, as far as collecting the series goes, this is pretty much plain sailing. That is because there are lots of complete collections on the market. Not only did we see plenty of Screen Tracks Karaoke discs available for sale, but they were reasonably cheap.
However, if you buy from the used market, ensure the discs are in good condition. When you use places like eBay, ask if the discs have surface scratches and whether they play all right.
Screen Tracks Karaoke Discs
To clarify, here is the complete list of all the Screen Tracks Karaoke disc ID numbers (prefixes). Indeed, you will notice that there are 40 karaoke discs in sequence. That could be a mouth-watering proposition. Of course, this is the sort of thing that karaoke collectors love to see:

Screen Tracks Karaoke Review
Without a doubt, the parent company responsible for these CDGs was competent. There can be no doubt that their karaoke oozes quality. There is no need for a review because their name speaks for itself. However, we have to sample a few tracks. So here goes:
Firstly, all karaoke tracks should have a decent splash screen to introduce the song. But, in the case of Screen Tracks, all you get is the song title and writers. The info at the end is about the publishers, so there’s little to write home about here.
Be that as it may, the karaoke tracks we tested had decent on-screen lyrics that kept up with the beat. Not only that, but the music was fantastic from this firm, as ever.
The artwork on the sleeves and CDGs is decent enough and appropriate for the contents.
Karaoke Song Sample
Although we may use numerous songs for the review, we only provide one sample video to represent the label. So, the song sample for our video presentation is ST0132-14 – Celine Dion – Think Twice.

Desirability Factor
These karaoke discs are above average and are well worth the outlay.
Of course, we can’t possibly do an audio and visual check on all these tracks. So, if you have used any of these discs, let us know your opinions in the comments section below. Our review and your comments could help future karaoke collectors decide whether to buy these discs.
Screen Tracks Karaoke: In Summary
We have no problems recommending this collection of CDGs. Indeed, they have a pedigree due to their parent label (PS).
Remember that all these discs have guide vocals. This reduces the number of “normal” karaoke tracks on each disc.
So bear that in mind if you look for them on the second-hand market. That is the only place you will find them since the parent company doesn’t make karaoke anymore. You can get bargains in the used market, but ensure the discs are in decent condition.
If you buy any of these CDGs because of the information and reviews here, don’t forget to come back and leave a comment.
