Music Maestro Karaoke Introduction

The Music Maestro Karaoke label released more than an average amount of CDGs. Therefore, this label has a vast catalogue of karaoke discs. You can see the comprehensive collection in the list below.

Be that as it may, this karaoke firm has long since bit the dust, just like the countless CDG manufacturers did from the heyday of the nineties and the noughties.

To clarify, we shouted out for information about Music Maestro Karaoke. We wanted all the disc prefixes and tracklistings to compile a catalogue for the karaoke archives.

Indeed, the response was tremendous, and a few karaoke jockeys (KJs) also sent us their songbooks.

Music Maestro Karaoke - MM6345 Disc - Pop Hits of Today.

However, it took months to compile decent lists. It was also extremely time-consuming and tedious, of course. But it was worth it because we finally have the lists available. Moreover, with Music Maestro Karaoke not producing CD+G discs now, the lists shouldn’t change.

Furthermore, we have digital karaoke songbooks available. This is necessary for some when trying to eliminate duplicate songs. For example, we found ten songs by Atlantic Star that were all the same. That song is “Always.”

Our digital songbooks only list the song once. If you rip your discs, why not rename them according to our digital catalogue? You’ll save space on your hard drive and printer ink.

Massive Karaoke Label

The Music Maestro Karaoke label is massive. That is clear from the lists below. So, it will take a while to study this archive page. However, as with all other big labels, the packs usually contain dupes. Therefore, cross-referencing is essential if you wish to avoid them.

Although we believe our lists are up-to-date, there may be an odd, rare CDG from this label that escapes us. So, if you know of any karaoke discs not on our MM lists, let us know. You may also download the completed Music Maestro songbook to complement your collections (further details below).

The MM label has many series, as follows:

  • Big Karaoke Club
  • Broadway To Hollywood Pack
  • Christmas Pack
  • Classic Hits
  • Club Packs
  • Country Packs
  • Doo Wop Club Pack
  • Gold Edition Pop Pack
  • Gold Masters SCDG
  • Gold Pack Millennium (Oldies)
  • Gold Your Way
  • Home Party Packs
  • Hot Country Hits
  • Hot Young Hits
  • NEO+G Discs
  • R&B Packs
  • Rock & Roll Pack
  • Simply Sinatra
  • Top Hits Club
  • Velvet Elvis
  • Voco Pro

The following list is a collection of series and discs sent to us by numerous disc jockeys and karaoke jockeys (DJs and KJs). Since the staff at Karaoke Info have just a handful of these discs from the series, we list them in good faith. Although your host may list them slightly differently, our prefixes are what the majority would use.

You may download the list of Music Maestro Karaoke discs above, but the songbooks are for members only. So, why not help our community by joining us?

Before We Move To The Review

As we have explained previously, the Music Maestro Karaoke label is massive. With this in mind, there is a bit of everything for everyone. Also, karaoke collectors need not worry about spending cash on this label. Indeed, it has been around the block a few times and was a big player.

However, please remember that other labels have produced better CDGs, according to many karaoke jockeys (KJs). The information and reviews might not be favourable here, but this karaoke label is not unsavoury. Look at it as if it were unique!

Velvet Elvis Presley Pack.

There is also the famous 32-disc Elvis Presley collection from Music Maestro. It is the original Velvet Elvis Karaoke collection, of course. But there are numerous series, including one by Frank Sinatra.

For the most part, collecting the entire set of MM6xxx is perfectly acceptable. On balance, though, if you start collecting the MM6xxx series, you may want to avoid some of the packs listed here. That is because you’ll have many duplicates!

Download our list of discs and grab a songbook to cross-reference the whole series. That way, you could save lots of cash and space!

Music Maestro Karaoke Connections

Finally, in the listing section, we must say that the Starcaster Karaoke series also has Music Maestro tracks. However, they have their very own info and reviews page.

There is also a disc from AB studios. That karaoke disc is an MMVE3-21 dupe. However, it has its very own splash screen. However, we know very little about that release.

Music Maestro Karaoke Review

With such a massive back catalogue, you would expect the Music Maestro Karaoke discs and tracks to be excellent because the company wouldn’t have survived so long had they made rubbish discs. However, it is a separate manufacturer, so we need to review a few karaoke tracks from Music Maestro.

The early discs show uninteresting splash screens. Indeed, they look rather formal. They display “Music Maestro Presents (Song Title)” and then “Key Of (starting key)”. It also gives credit to the writer(s). Those discs also have on-screen lyrics that are white on a blue background. Those words turn yellow on a dark blue background as the song progresses.

Those early discs quickly gave way to superior on-screen graphics, and the splash screen became more identifiable. They retain the necessary information and plenty of blue colours, but the splash screen is now better.

Music Maestro Karaoke - MM6000 Disc - 90s Pop Hits.

The graphics are also more acceptable on the later CDGs and set the standard to which we are all accustomed. The cover artwork is bland but acceptable. However, we feel that MM could have tried a little bit harder.

The choice of backing music was their biggest letdown. You could still use this collection for karaoke gigs and home use without bother. However, we feel there are better options when building up a karaoke collection, such as Sunfly or, what we think is the very best, Zoom.

The on-screen lyrics largely match the beat and are easy to follow. Be that as it may, we feel the music lets these CDGs down. Still, a good carpenter never blames his tools. As we say, these karaoke discs are acceptable.

Karaoke Song Sample

Although we may use numerous songs for the review, we only provide one sample video to represent the label. So, the song sample for our video presentation is MM6001-07 – Amy Grant – Baby Baby.

Videos are subject to change!

Our Verdict

  • On-screen Lyrics: 4
  • Music Content: 3.5
  • Splash Screen, Graphics, Video: 3.5
  • Cover Art: 3.5
  • Overall Average: 3.6
  • Music And Lyrics Average: 3.75

We gave this collection 4 out of 5 in the rating system below. That was only out of respect for such a massive karaoke label. You can also vote for these, even if you don’t have the discs or tracks. Indeed, all you need to do is watch our presentation video above and judge that.

Desirability Factor

While it looks like we gave these karaoke discs a hard time, they are not that bad. But there are better ones. Collecting all of these karaoke discs would cost a fortune, of course. However, if you wish to spend such a large sum of money on a karaoke collection, it is better to get the best.

Therefore, we recommend only buying a few discs for various songs that are missing from your collection. Some avid collectors who want whole sets should expect to pay a lot of cash. Indeed, this collection could become an expensive acquisition.

To Sum Up

As previously noted, Music Maestro produced a large number of karaoke discs. They come from the era before the karaoke heyday but continued to outlive most of the Johnny-come-latelies. However, we consider the Music Maestro collection to be the grandfather of karaoke. In many respects, we feel that they play decent enough. But they lack that all-important punch.

MM Hot Young Party Hits Pack.

Once you decide you want a collection of karaoke discs or tracks for your gigs or home use, choose a manufacturer and work around that. Any extra discs or tracks you get after building a decent collection can come from other manufacturers.

When building up a karaoke collection, choose wisely. By doing this, you should have enough karaoke tracks from one or two manufacturers to meet your needs. We don’t recommend building a karaoke collection around Music Maestro. Of course, if you get them dirt cheap, that is a different story!

Buying an odd disc to cover a track you need desperately is the way to go, but again, there may be better alternatives!

Generally speaking, we wish we could give a better review for these CD+G discs, but our sample tracks did not scintillate our taste buds. However, if you have any of these CDGs, please comment below. That is because we may have sampled the worst of the worst, and our view is clouded!

Collect Wisely

The Music Maestro Karaoke label has an enormous number of CDGs in circulation. Some will be good, but some will not be so good. However, don’t allow one bad apple to spoil things.

If you know of a bad disc, then let us know. In contrast, if you want to praise this karaoke manufacturer, do that too.

Whatever you decide, remember that there are a lot of “packs” in this collection. Experience with other karaoke makers tells us that tracks from the packs are usually in the “main” series.

MM6409 Disc - Doo Wop Music.

We suspect this will be the case with this maker, too. Therefore, use the songbook below to cross-reference. It should help you avoid dupes. Don’t forget that some Music Maestro karaoke discs use NEO+G and Super CDG formats.

Music Maestro Karaoke Songbook (Discs & Digital)

Now that you have the information and reviews for this massive karaoke label, you will need a songbook to see what is on the discs. Our Music Maestro karaoke song list has over 100 pages. However, this is mainly because of the duplications in the packs. Click the link below to view or download the MM songbook.

Our songbooks include the digital variant. These are to save you time, money, space and ink!

Should you have a recording of yourself singing a Music Maestro track, join the Karaoke Showcase and post it there. Indeed, we have a dedicated karaoke showcase for you to sing your favourite song from any manufacturer.

Best Elvis Presley karaoke songs?

December 21, 2018

Although not palatable to some people, I think some Music Maestro Karaoke tracks are better than those from other established firms. I particularly like the Velvet Elvis collection. Where else can you find this massive collection of Elvis Presley karaoke songs?
