Monster Hits Karaoke: Introduction
Monster Hits Karaoke didn’t quite manage to make 200 karaoke discs. But they almost made it before they stopped manufacturing them.
In any event, that’s some mean feat from a music firm in the cut-throat world of karaoke.
So, let’s examine the 171 discs that the company did make.

A quick online search shows you can still buy some of these discs on places like eBay, even though the firm has stopped producing karaoke discs. Indeed, some are on sale as factory-sealed.
In brief, these Monster Hits Karaoke discs were on sale for between £5.00 and £10.00. This is around $8.00 and $16.00 US dollars (August 2014). One further point to remember if you buy second-hand is to ask about the condition of the discs. Indeed, stay away from damaged karaoke discs if at all possible.

Monster Hits Karaoke Review
There’s nothing like being bold about your brand name, and Monster Hits Karaoke did just that on their Splash Screens. Their logo is at the top of the screen, with the song title in the middle. At the bottom of the blue splash screen, you see “Made Famous By (Artist)”.
The blue screen remains to display the white lyrics. These on-screen lyrics change to gold as the music progresses. You also get right-pointing chevrons as part of the countdown. The on-screen lyrics are central but stay close to the left of the screen.
They use a decent font, and they are perfectly legible. Meanwhile, the end screen shows the writers and publishers.
The backing music is excellent, and the lyrics sync impeccably. Monster Hits Karaoke has consistency throughout. That also shows with their cover art and CDGs. They are not bad, but more variation would have been better.

Desirability Factor
Our samples were brilliant. We found that the tracks were clear and musically sound. The splash screen was decent, and the words were big and legible. From Karaoke Info, this collection was a big hit with our staff, and we highly recommend them.
A karaoke firm that made almost 200 discs should be good. Well, we found them to be excellent. But we can’t possibly sample every track in this series. So, over to you. Please tell us what you think about these discs, because your opinion matters!
