Killer Karaoke Introduction
The Killer Karaoke series is a set of 12 discs, but no more will come from this firm. That is because they no longer make karaoke discs.
For the most part, the gruesome label name isn’t very appealing to some. However, put the name to one side, and we may have a decent-sounding set of discs. After all, what’s in a name?
We examine this series in detail below. We also list the discs and review the collection. If you have these discs, comment below.
Guide Vocals Included
In addition to the KK5xxx series, there is a KK7xxx series. Both series are a collection of non-vocal and with-vocal tracks (guide vocals). Also, there are 16, 18, or 20 tracks on each disc. That represents good value because you cannot cram much more on CDGs. However, half these figures for the unique karaoke songs and the discs might not appeal much.
The first thing to remember is that some people like the guide vocals. Indeed, it can help them learn the song. On the other hand, some people think the discs with vocals are a waste of time!
Not only did we get the disc identities (prefixes), but we also got a complete song list for these Killer discs. If you have these Killer Karaoke discs, please let us know how they sound in the comments.
To clarify, here are all the disc prefixes for the Killer Karaoke Series:

Killer Karaoke Review
The splash screens immediately show the company name on a blue backdrop. The name is gold and comes in a rubber stamper-type font. That changes, and then you will see the song title “as made famous by” (the artist) and writers.
The instrumental countdowns are in the form of a bloated ‘+’ shape. That is unique to Killer Karaoke and is a nice touch.
The blue screens remain to display the white lyrics.
The wording changes to gold as the music progresses. The on-screen lyrics sync well. Some were slightly ahead, and that is how all karaoke should be! Some matched the beat exactly, but our sample songs showed no sign of lag.
The end screen shows the company name and website address (killerkaraokemonthly.com). However, when we checked, that domain was inactive. That isn’t surprising because many firms started making a few karaoke discs, then disappeared into obscurity.
The choice of backing music is excellent. The artwork on the CDGs and sleeves is pretty standard.
Karaoke Song Sample
Although we may use numerous songs for the review, we only provide one sample video to represent the label. So, the song sample for our video presentation is KK5003-03 – Freda Payne – Band Of Gold.
