Honky Cat Karaoke Series
The Honky Cat Karaoke tracks use the same idea as Atoy’s Karaoke. That is making karaoke tracks that the big producers forgot about! Moreover, the label says, “Songs the others neglected.” So that is a big clue as to this karaoke maker’s intention!
As we all know, the big karaoke firms tend to make more popular songs because they sell better.
However, what about other songs that were not so popular? In a word, up pops Honky Cat Karaoke to fill this void.
To clarify, a reliable member informs us that only five karaoke discs exist in this series. In this case, each of these discs has 15 tracks. So, here is the list that he kindly sent to us:

Honky Cat Karaoke Review
Seventy-five otherwise hard-to-get-a-hold of tracks are always worthwhile to have in any collection. Moreover, they should be available cheaply on eBay when they pop up.
The splash screen fades in on disc one. But on the rest, it slides in from the left. A cool cat is standing upright on the screen, dressed as a human! The closing splash screen gives further information. Of course, you also have the cat logo.
Indeed, you will see “cool karaoke classics” as well as the artist and the song title. At the bottom, you will see “songs nobody else has.”
The lyrics are bold and legible. The wording is yellow and turns red as the music progresses. From the sample tracks we used, we found they kept good timing. In other words, they sync well enough to be used while gigging or at home.
The artwork is unique, and the well-dressed cat with a massive medallion makes it all the more intriguing.
Karaoke Sample
Although we may use numerous songs for the review, we only provide one sample video to represent the label. So, the song sample for our video presentation is HC001-12 – Dire Straits – Why Worry?

Official Review By Julie: Honky Cat Karaoke.
Hi, my name is Julie, and I conducted the original karaoke review above. Whether you agree or disagree, you can leave your review below.
I Love the Honky Cat logo.
Great selection of songs, and that logo is fantastic!
Good Effort!
Songs they forgot about, so why not!
Great music.
I could never fault the effort made here. Well done!
I do not know any of those songs.
I cannot see the point if they are not popular songs, but that might be just me!

Honky Cat does have songs that the others forgot about, but they do sound like MIDI tracks! There’s not much, if any, backing vocals, but they have those obscure songs.
The complete set of the Honky Cat karaoke series is for sale. Approximately 90 sets are available. They are original discs and never used; please check the forum for more info: https://www.karaoke.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=317
Several years ago, I bought what may have been the last significant stash of brand-new Honky Cat disks in existence. I got 500 of each of the 5 karaoke discs in paper envelopes still in what appear to be the manufacturer’s boxes. I list some from time to time on eBay under the seller name cavendish52.
