We list and review eight albums from the Heavy Karaoke Video Discs (DVDs) collection. The front label shows “Bandokie”. It continues, “15 songs to sing or play along with guitar or bass”. The labels also say each song has up to 16 different song mixes.

Heavy Karaoke Video Discs review
These Heavy Karaoke Video Discs originate in Finland, where this type of music is popular.
The opening splash screens hold much information, including the maker’s name, artist, song title, publisher and web address (now defunct). Once the video begins, you’ll see a progressive countdown bar at the top for the singer. At the bottom are the instructions for the guitar or bass player.
The white song lyrics change to orange as a prompt to start singing. There is no lag, so the lyrics are always in step with the beat.
Furthermore, the music is perfect. Indeed, if this is your forte, it is clear and dynamic. The cover art depicts what the DVD is all about. Of course, they have a heavy metal theme.
The screenshot is from HK601-01. This song is Run To The Hills by Iron Maiden.
