Diamond Karaoke LaserDiscs Introduction
There are four Diamond Karaoke LaserDiscs that we list and review below. The four video discs also contain identical songs with guide vocals. Therefore, you only get half the number of unique songs.
The vocal accompaniment will help you learn a song because you can sing along with the singers. This is fine for some, but many think karaoke discs with guide vocals waste space. Of course, this is down to personal preference. The vocal and non-vocal tracks use the same video.
The guide vocalists are central, so you can’t turn them off. This is in contrast to the MPX versions.

The first four discs are a collection of The Eagles with Simon and Garfunkel songs. The second set of four discs contains the music of Elton John.

Diamond Karaoke LaserDiscs Review
The opening splash screen only shows the song title. Once the videos begin, you will see a mixture of various locations. This is the norm for these types of discs.
Also, many include men and women in love or solitary female models dancing or pondering. Indeed, the actors play the part well. The white on-screen lyrics change to blue as a prompt to start singing. The words match the beat impeccably.
The music is decent and well-chosen. You may see the company name slide in during instrumental breaks or at the end of the video.
The artwork looks dated, so they don’t win many prizes. Be that as it may, we buy karaoke discs for the performance value of the tracks.

We gave this collection 4 out of 5 in the rating system below. That was partly due to the terrible artwork. However, the meaty karaoke is excellent. You can also vote for these, even if you don’t have the discs or tracks. Indeed, all you need to do is watch our presentation video above and judge that.
Diamond Karaoke LaserDiscs Songbook

Unlike the primary commercial karaoke directory, the video sets mainly have one songbook. The format of these songbooks is ATD (Original Artist, Song Title, Disc Prefix).
