Chartbuster Karaoke Label is Big!
The Chartbuster Karaoke label is one of the biggest around. So, without further ado, let us give as much info as possible before the review. Before we begin, most information refers to the disc versions. However, we also have a digital library for your convenience.
There are also three songbooks for this karaoke label. Indeed, the Chartbuster songbook has over 900 pages (TAD). In a word, if this label is not big, then we don’t know what is!
Our list of disc ID numbers (prefixes) is available below. They originate from forum members and supporters of our website.
Also, many karaoke jockeys (KJs) helped by sending in their lists. So, thanks to all who took part. Indeed, it took an absolute age to sort it out.
Furthermore, Chartbuster does not produce karaoke now. So, this catalogue should not change too much. It will only change if some rare chartbuster disc comes to light. With this in mind, inform us if you know of a disc, not on our list. Since we rely on factual information, please send us an image of the covers if you discover a missing disc.
Also, supply a song list so we can adjust our lists immediately. However, get in touch if you see anything else that needs correcting. That applies to anything on the Karaoke Info website, of course.
Chartbuster Karaoke Discs
Karaoke disc collectors should be aware that the label is massive. Likewise, the song list has hundreds of pages. Therefore, obtaining the complete collection will be time-consuming and expensive. However, do remember that lots of tracks have duplications within the series.
Of course, most dupes will come from their packs. In other words, those packs can duplicate those from the main ‘number’ series. Therefore, the song list below the review is available to help avoid duplication.
Because our staff remains unbiased, we encourage members and visitors to give their opinions about the labels. So, if you have something to say about Chartbusters, please do so.
You may download the list of discs above, but only members can grab the songbook. So, please consider becoming a member of Karaoke Info and help us help others!
While it took us an age to finish these lists, it was worth it. That is because we are here to help all karaoke disc collectors. One thing that annoys many collectors is the duplication of discs in their collection. So, you can avoid dupes by cross-referencing the list of karaoke discs and the songbook. However, eliminating all duplications is almost impossible.
Chartbuster Karaoke would never have survived so long if their product was not good. That is a logical statement, of course. But one can only look in awe at the vast catalogue. So, let’s move on to the review.
Chartbuster Karaoke Review
With such an abundance of karaoke discs from Chartbuster, it was easy to choose a sample for reviewing purposes. The first song we wanted to play was “You Keep Me Hanging On” by The Supremes.
The splash screen gave us the company logo and, “If you love to sing… we’ve got the songs.” That led to another info screen, which gave us the song title, “In the Style of (Artist)”.
This display also showed the starting key, the length of the song, and the intro (in bars).
The dark blue background didn’t change for the gold lyrics. The words turn white as the song progresses. The words in our sample track didn’t keep up with the beat, so that wasn’t a good first impression.
The end screen gave us further information about the writers and publishers on display. Their choice of backing music didn’t impress, as Sunfly has a better version.
We had to try another, so we played “Let It Be” by The Beatles. Again, the lyrics were slightly lagging when they should either be spot on or marginally ahead. Their choice of backing music this time redeemed the label.
The artwork on both the discs and sleeves was excellent.
Karaoke Song Sample
Although we may use numerous songs for the review, we only provide one sample video to represent the label. So, the song sample for our video presentation is CB40220-11 – Creed – My Sacrifice.

Desirability Factor
This label has a massive back catalogue with the best songs and artists. You can’t go wrong should you choose them, and they would grace any karaoke collection. Our review gave them a decent score, so they are well worth having.

Chartbuster Karaoke Ceased Production
A while back, Chartbuster Karaoke decided to hang up their mixers for good. By and large, this would have broken the hearts of Chartbusters fans. However, they have left their mark on the karaoke scene.
Even though Chartbuster is enormous, our staff only owns a few. Indeed, all our systems have a Sunfly base.
In essence, the auction websites will continue to sell these discs well into the future. When we searched, we saw advertisements offering ‘new’ Chartbusters discs. Moreover, we saw some tempting bargains. However, our garages are brimming with Sunfly discs and others, too. So, we all had to resist the offers. But that shouldn’t stop other karaoke collectors.
Of course, eBay and Amazon are decent places to find karaoke discs from Chartbuster. Moreover, buy them today, as we are sure they are quality discs.
To Sum Up
There may be other disc ID numbers that should be in these Chartbuster lists. So, we put a star beside those.
However, we can’t confirm many of these disc ID numbers until we receive further evidence. For example, an image of the ‘missing’ discs and a song list are necessary. So, if you know of any discs not on our lists, let us know.
Since Chartbuster does not produce karaoke tracks now, it will be harder to confirm things.
Because of this, we rely totally on other members to pass on their knowledge. Karaoke Info will update our Chartbuster Karaoke lists as new information comes to light. However, this is on the condition that an image of the label accompanies any disc ID numbers.

CB Songbook (Discs & Digital)
Of course, you should know what karaoke songs are on the discs before purchasing any. In the first place, we have categorised some of the series’. For example, there are country songs, pop, rock, etc. However, that is pretty vague. So, we have a songbook for you. Indeed, this took a very long time to compile. With this in mind, we thank all those who sent in their lists.
When you see the tracks in order of the artist, this shows many duplications. But, no matter what you do, duplicate tracks are impossible to eliminate in the discs series. However, we also have the digital songbook available to download. Therefore, using this, you can eliminate duplicate song titles. If you have the discs, you could rip them and renumber them accordingly.

Mass Producer!
I suppose Because they have a lot of CDGs on the market, they need a decent score, but I like others far better. I will probably go against the grain here.
