Chart Hits Monthly Karaoke Series
This Chart Hits Monthly Karaoke collection is from the late nineties. We have information that shows there are two series from this collection.
Indeed, those sets are Country Hits and Pop Hits. Both collections have ordinary karaoke plus the with-vocal versions on the same disc. Of course, with 16 tracks on each disc, there are only eight unique tracks.
Looking at the disc identities below, it is clear that some may be missing. For example, CHMC9807 is not on the list.
A while back, we shouted out for information about individual karaoke labels. Numerous members and visitors returned a lot of information. We then compiled a list of discs and a song list to accompany them.
The company didn’t produce many discs in this series. However, the list seems incomplete due to a break in the disc prefixes. So, here is yet another shout for more information about this collection. If you have any discs from this maker, send an image or two of the discs. Also, send in the tracklisting. We will update the lists immediately.

Chart Hits Monthly Karaoke Review
The splash screen in our sample was a deep red gradient, with white lyrics turning green as the song progressed.
The name of the disc producer is at the top of the screen, while the song title sits below. There is no further info on the main screen. Indeed, there is no end screen either.
The choice of music was excellent, and the lyrics synced well enough. However, we feel that the song lyrics could have advanced slightly quicker if we had any gripes.
They are still good enough to use at a gig or at home.
The artwork on the CDGs was decent and professional-looking. These discs are reasonable and worth the effort by the company, albeit with just a small number of discs to their name. The results here make them look around average for the par.

Desirability Factor
Since this series seems to be a project that barely started and the songs are from the same year, they don’t appeal to us. Therefore, even though they play well, the desirability factor is not there. That assessment is from a collector’s perspective. However, they will be fine for a casual collector who needs a song or two from them.
This collection looks similar to Top Hits Monthly and Pop Hits Monthly. Those labels also produced country, pop and urban karaoke discs.
In fact, by cross-referencing the lists, similar songs are on corresponding discs.
So, did this series evolve into those? Either way, all the more reason to ignore these!
They have a pedigree because of the links to the other collections above. That is because those other collections are of excellent quality.
The keen karaoke collector will buy these when they find them on the internet. However, those with limited budgets may need to find out if the quality of the tracks is worth the outlay. Therefore, we welcome all input about these discs.
